Christmas is almost here!!!

I haven't had a chance to get on and blog in awhile. I was on my way into work this morning and was listening to the radio and the announcer said that we were under a winter snow warning. About an hour later I saw snow flakes and it has continued all day long, not much accumulation but it has sure put me in the mood for Christmas.

Bella and Abby had a blast trick or treating this year. It was our annual trip on base like we done every year since we moved here. They give out lots of candy and their are lots of spooky houses too! We joined their cousins in trick or treating and Carl was able to get away from work to tag along with us for about an hour!! This is maybe his third or fourth time trick or treating with Bella and his first with Abby!

Dr. Fish Pedicure in Washington D.C.

Well I am in D.C. in Virginia with my boss attending a training on Writing Federal Proposals and Winning Executive Summaries. This is one of the most difficult workshops I have ever attended. The people attending the training write proposals for large companies (not for non-profit) for million and billion dollar contracts, the lingo they use I just don't understand. I have had a hard time following the information being provided. The scenarios they use are about aeronautics etc. I am getting a migraine just talk about it. There is some good information that I will hopefully be able to use in my job. For a treat, my boss and I went into Alexandria and experiences the Dr. Fish Pedicure, man was that an experience of a life time. You submerge your feet in a clear tub and these fish begin sucking on your feet getting off the dead skin. In Asia people submerge their entire bodies in a pool of water, the benefits are softer skin and improved circulation throughout your body. My feet feels like a babies bottom. The cost $35 for 15 min. of fish sucking on your feet. I can't explain how it feels. Here are some pix.

October 2008!

I woke up this morning to rain and overcast skie, and it is at least 20 degrees cooler outside. Finally, fall is here I have noticed the leaves are beginning to change colors and cooler temps to come. I am heading to D.C. on Monday for a workshop and can't wait for a little break from work. This is a busy time of the year for me because I am putting on two breakfast with santa fundraisers and sending out alot of donation requests. At the same time I am preparing myself mentally for Carl to deploy again to Iraq at the beginning of January.

Just bare with me I am learning how to navigate around this blog and am very excited to be able to share with everyone on how the girls are doing.
